Pre-race routine:

Breakfast of champions: Half an egg Mcmuffin and a cup of coffee about an hour beforehand. Same meal I eat before every race and never a stomach issue so far.
Event warmup:

Two miles of easy jogging with three or four sprints to loosen up.

Comments:

Planned to go out easy and try to pick up the pace the second half. first mile in 5:53 which felt pretty good. The weather started to get pretty bad as the run progressed. I never really slowed down but after the first half the effort seemed higher due to the increased wind and sleet.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing.

Slow walk to my car.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Knees won't let me do speed work any longer.

Event comments:

A fun inexpensive race through the Notre Dame campus with very cheerful volunteers.
