Comments: I went in to this thinking <34' but hoping for a 32' - I ended up 32:35 so I am stoked. The course profile: What would you do differently?: Get a later starting time. The pro's started later as a storm rolled in and got 30 mph tail wind! And perhaps yesterday's race: Post race
Warm down: had some pizza and beer then went to the gym for a run and a swim. What limited your ability to perform faster: Perhaps the race yesterday, but I met my expectations. Event comments: More great free stuff. Again, just a $35 dollar race and today among many great freebies, I got a sweet Rosingnol wind breaker. Simply one of the best race events anywhere. Coffee, bagel, red bull. Park Car. Go out to Teva Gear Town and do interview with local radio station, The Zephyr, and explain how late nights in a bar do not necessarily mean a life of debauchery but can also be part of an active and healthy lifestyle. One of the DJ's and the station manager are Dick Dime fan's I guess. Sort of cool. I guess being the antithesis of the typical athlete appeals to some people. My friend Fil Diablo is another such person - visit him on Facebook or here on BT! I think Fil is boss.
Rode down to Lions Head, Had a Starbucks Soy Latte and some of those chocolate wafer cookies and read the local newspapers. Did you get the nuance? Newspapers... plural. Vail is cool. Denver used to have two fishwraps... for over 100 years. Ch ch changes.
Went to the start, shivered in the cold wet rain/snow for a few minutes...
