I fear it may be the end of large reasonably priced well run triathlons in Colorado. Hopefully this won't mean having to register a year in advance just to be in the races.

Hey Dave, I troll around BT once in awhile. Tinman was a great time too bad it didn't work out this year. See you at the 5430 long course?...errr should I say the Boulder 70.3

That is a shame.  Barry puts on some really great races.  I hope he still continues to do the Windsor and Steamboat races.

He is not running the Steamboat race this year. Windsor replaced it on their calendar.

Be interesting to see what big corporate WTC does with Barry's Tri Sustainability program? My first guess is it's gone but maybe they will surprise.

Good for Barry & Jodee though, it's nice to see people who put a lot of effort in to making events the best they can get rewarded!

That was my 1st thought too.  And now I have to scan the IM newsletter in case there's info on the 5430 series?  Bah!  As soon as the long course is over I'm getting off their newsletter mailing list. 

I am glad I registered for the series this year while it's still authentic.  Bet they'll sell lots of 5430 merchandise at the races.

Guess I shouldn't assume it will lose it's character by IM taking over.... ha!
