What is the best option for bike fitting in the Omaha area??  I am looking to buy a tri bike possibly the end of the year and am looking for options.  Also, is there a place to buy tri clothing in the Omaha area??

The bike way does excellent fitting and High Gear in La Vista has a decent selection of Tri clothing....

I strongly recommend Bike Masters. They sell Felt bikes and do a super good job on the fitting. I got a bike from the Bike Way a couple years ago and while the services is very good, the fit was non existant.

Unfortunately, I don't think anywhere here has a decent clothing selection. Just my experience.

The Bike Way now has the Specialized bike fit stuff. I have not made any large purchases there, but they are always friendly and helpful when I have gone in. I would think they will have the best bike fitting in Omaha.
I am friends with the guys at Xtreme Wheels in Council Bluffs. Blaine is THE MAN! and doesn't try to upsell you on crap you don't need. Really great guys over there, but no specialty fitting or Tri clothing (although they can order anything Trek, Shimano, Bontrager, KHS, or Salsa that you want!) and will most likely beat the price from wherever you looked at it first

I will have to check out the Bike Way.  Yeah i have been to Xtreme wheels a few times and they are great guys.  Zach is a real character and might have had a doobie or two, but that doesn't make him a bad person.  Both him and his dad are great people!!!  First rate store but they are more for the recreational biker on the trails or taco ride.

Thanks for the help.

I recently bought a bike and when I picked bike up they just handed it over...i was expecting to sit on it and get some minor adjustments but didnt happen.  After spending 2k on a bike one would think a fit might be thrown into the mix by electing to purchase bike from one of many shops around.

I feel like dropping by the shop with bike and asking for a fit, am I out of line?

Thanks!

No, you are totally in line. They should without a doubt give you a bike fit and pick up all the basic maintenance for a certain period of time. With any new bike the cables stretch and need to be adjusted after only a month or so, depending on how often you ride. Where did you get the bike? What did you buy?
