I consider myself a strong swimmer but I was completely unprepared for the atmosphere of an open water swim. I had no major problems but I swam much slower than my usual pace. My husband and I are planning to go a few Fridays to get some open water experience. Please keep posting any opinions and updates that http://www.jerseyareamultisport.com/ does not. This has been very helpful! |

Veteran 197 | Subject: RE: Any OWS locations in Central Jersey? Yes, we had a few collisions within the first minute of the first swim, but I'm pretty sure there were no concussions! Unfortunately I won't be able to make it tomorrow... have fun! |

I'll be doing another in September, this time with a road (not mountain!) bike  I have been away a lot so haven't been able to get to Peddie Lake yet. I did try to swim in the Lavallette Bay, however it was filled with jellyfish! |
