This is the second year for me at this race. Last year i finished with a 2:02 time. Wasn't thrilled with that time, but it was my first shot at 13 miles... This year i came in with a plan Mike Ricci (sometimes posts on this site and sort of my coach) laid out a nice race plan, the first 5 miles stay in zone 1 with my heart rate, next 5 miles upper zone 2 if i could hold it, last 3 miles all out. I stuck with that plan the entire race, i didn't go all out the last 3 miles cause i am very nervous that i am going to blow up and then not be able to finish the race, so the last 3 miles i was running faster then the last 5 but not running all out. The end result gave me a time of 1:52 10mins fast than last year. Needless to say i was very happy with that time. Great race i would tell everyone who lives in the area to do this race.

great race, they have bands playing every few miles nice roads to run on, second have of the race is on a trail, which is great.
