Subject: RE: St. Croix Valley TriathlonIt is held Labor Day weekend, and it is a lot of fun. Most of the competitive racers do the International race the following day, so the sprint race has a lot of first-timers and persons who are not ultra competitive. The swim is in an isolated bay to the St. Croix River. There is minimal current and lots of shallow spots. The bike is only 10 miles but there is a very long and steep hill at mile 4. The run is relatively flat. After the race, there is a pig roast luau. The race is well organized and it is spectator friendly. |
