Comments: Calling this a race would be an insult to those folks who actually raced it. I stayed right about the effort level I had wanted for it but missed overall on the pace. I didn't try and pick it up the last mile or so, I just kept the effort level the same. On the bright side, 2 years ago in March, this would have been a 10k PR. Did something like 7:45 - 8:05 - 7:45 - 8:10 and then walked through the water station and never really got it going again. I think the last 2 were 8:45 - 8:35 and then about that pace for the last point-2 Fantastic weather for the race and great turnout. What would you do differently?: Train, be in shape not be coming off sinus and ear infections. Post race

A smoothie and some daddy time for JJ
Got a later start than intended due to a little boy wanting some daddy time, so I cut my route to the race shorter than I was planning. Rode my Mtn Bike down to the race site. Got down there with enough time to sign in, change and hang up the cycling gear and get going.
Did do a 4 minute warm-up jog
