So my dear Rawk Squad, I'm now lost with what to do training wise and might permanently revert to sprints for the rest of my god given life.......

I'm finally home from vaykay and posted my RR finally:http://www.beginnertriathlete.com/discussion/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=165245&posts=1#M2231537

My kudos go out to any of you who've done a 70.3 and then gone on to do another or have done an IM or, like Ranger Dave or Rottie training to do an IM!

This was one hard mofo.  Maybe I just don't have the HTFU gene needed for this level, but seriously, I am in awe of the folks that do this over and over again!

It's one of those things, you wake up and think to yourself, "Hmm, well, I did an Oly, so I pretty much got the swim down. OK.  Well, I've ridden a century or two before I think I can do 56.  Yeah, done a couple half marys, know what that's like.  Yeah, I think I could probably do this."

And then you start training with lots of encouragement here.

Then you're racing and finish the bike and think OMFG, I still have to run 13.1 miles.

Like I said, I lived, am upright and ambulatory but it was. not. pretty.

Oh, and just FWIW, I did follow the plan pretty much 90%, never missing a key workout.  I overdistanced the long bikes in the last 8 weeks.  The workouts I did miss would be what I would refer to as "filler" swims, i.e., 30 min swim or something like that.

Anyway, all's I'm saying is I mighta underestimated the magnitude of a 70.3. Embarassed

But you DID it and you did it well.  You ROCK!  As I said after I got done with a 60 mile bike on 6/14, I have no idea how you would have it in you to run a HM.  Maybe you underestimated the magnitude but you trained for the distance, attacked, finished strong and survived to tell about it.
