1 Week to the Hy-Vee Rochesterfest Triathlon!

Hello Friends,

Well, my office is filled with race bibs, bike numbers, packet materials, swag, USAT forms, yadda, yadda, yadda. Such is the life of a triathlon race director. I am smiling though and I am excited for our biggest event of the season coming next Sunday. Months of preparation have went into this event. This is the 2nd year of the triathlon and again I am amazed at the growth of multisport in Southern Minnesota. We had 466 finishers and we sold out our registrations in our inaugural year. This year we are pushing 700 participants! We are sold out for the 2nd straight year. Here is the most encouraging stat yet: WE HAVE 240 FIRST TIME TRIATHLETES COMING TO ROCHESTER THIS YEAR!!!

We just had Professional Triathlete Will Smith from New Zealand join our event. He will be taking on some of the fastest guys in our area, like Curt Wood, Jeremy Sartain, Scott Penticoff, Brett Lovaas, and returning champion Sam Hauck. Should be a great race.
