Kensington Triathlon Series 2 : Official Thread

Yep, I'll be there.  Getting back from vacation Saturday night hopefully all rested for the next day!

I was looking for BT athletes, but I didn't know whom to look for! What a bummer I didn't see any of you.

It was a tough race. I was ready for the hills on the bike, but not the run. Ouch. I loved it though.

I didn't make any mistakes on the race course, and I did a race I'm happy with.  

At first there seemed to be a threat of some real rain, but it cleared up during the race and the tree canopy at Kensington proved very nice in the bike ride.  I'm definitely signing up for this race again next year.  

Ya, I didn't see anyone else out there either - usually there are so many of us that we have a meeting place.  I'm used to working out there so the hills weren't a surprise, but damn where they tough after that swim.  I was on the bike for at least 4-5 miles before I actually started catching my breath after that swim.  And the swim...man I kept getting weeds hung up on my arms - what a nuisance!  It was a good race, though even though I was not up to my normal on the run - just couldn't get the legs going.  I ended up having a photo finish with another guy and beat him by 2 seconds, so it was memorable.

I hope that guy you beat wasn't me! Two guys passed me in the last stretch and one of them beat me by just under 8 seconds.
