Subject: Cleveland (Mayfield Village) Pools and/or runs?
Hello Ohioians! (is that the correct term?)

I have to travel to Cleveland for a week next month (Mayfield Village, to be exact). I will have access to the Parkview Pool at Mayfield Village.  From the pictures, it looks like a nice pool. Any thoughts on it? Good place to swim? Or would I be better getting a pass for the local YMCA pool (I think Hillcrest/Lyndhurst is the closest YMCA.) Also, any good places to run near there? Probably 4-6 miles, preferably somewhere that would be safe to run in the evening hours since the time difference will make the early mornings a bit too early for me. I prefer trails if at all possible.

Thanks for any help you can give!

Pools, can't help you with.  As far as places to run, I would do a search for the Cleveland metro parks, and/or cuyhoga county metro parks.  Those would be your best bet.  I'm assuming you'll be driving and have transportation?

Just read your from CO.  Still the search is your best bet.  BTW we still don't like Denver for that whole "the Drive,"  the "Fumble" thing.  Just for your info.Laughing

Thanks for the info on the parks... I'll look into that! And I will have a car, so it's not a problem to drive somewhere after work, although I'd prefer it to be close by.

As for "the drive", "the fumble"... I'm not a sports fan (unless I'm playing the sport!) so I have no idea what that's about, although I will assume it's the Broncos. The company I work for (Progressive) is HQed in Cleveland, and has a huge data center in Colorado Springs, so when it looked like there was a possibility of a CLE/DEN matchup for the basketball finals, that started a few friendly rivalries going... but of course, in the end neither team made it to the finals. Typical from what I hear.
