Comments: I wanted to run the 1st 2 miles around 6:30 pace then I was going to run according to how I felt, this race was a training run for me get's me out of intervals. started out at what felt like 6:25, but came through at 6:13 I would have not guess I was moving that fast l decided to slow down for mile 2 and I struggled to get going again during mile 3 kind of got too comfortable. Mile 4 I picked it up again and past some more people finished with a 6:26 and felt good. Ended up getting 2nd in my AG, my training buddy beat me for 1st. What would you do differently?: not much, like I said this was just a replacement run for intervals Post race
Warm down: ran 2 mile cool down with Matt at about 8 min. pace then went and watched my 3 year old daughter long jump and run a 25 meter race ( in which she won) at the kids track meet What limited your ability to perform faster: several weeks of some tough training just not a 100% Event comments: This is a good race and fun to do, it's the biggest race for the local club and good to see old friends.
