My first event in about 29 years.
What would you do differently?:

Get there earlier to park closer, I was 5 cars away from the close parking lot and had to walk 3/4 mile several times to and from my car.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

my legs

Event comments:

Good race, lots of stuff going on. To pick up the t-shirt you had to walk onto the beach and after that I had to remove my shoes and socks to get the sand out pre-race. After the race the refreshments were on the beach too, that was nice but if my car was closer I would have gotten out some flip flops.

Fantastic job on your 5k today!

I've had the opposite happen to me. I was so early arriving at my 5k that I got the *first* parking spot! This was great before the race. But after our race ended, a bike criterium began. And I was trapped by a million bikes, bike racks, cars, etc!

Great job today! Congratulations!

great job on the race!!!  You were sooo close to where i live!!!  Archie Moores in Fairfield has the best Buffalo wings...you know for a post race treat the next time!!!
