Subject: RE: Improving Balance and Staying Aero on Bike1. Purchase and learn how to ride on rollers.
2. Take a friend and your bikes to a football field (or similar) and practice a few drills. Ride next to each other very closely and then lean into each other (kinda forming an "A") so that the other person is keeping you up and visa versa. Then right yourself and separate.
Take some cones and make a slalom(sp?). ride it until you can do it on aerobars. Stick a cone 30 yards away and line up with your friend heading towards the cone. You try and push her so that you cross the cone on her side and she does the same to you. Try and stop without taking your feet out of the pedals (its called a trackstand)
Riding with your friend, try and grab her water bottle, drink from it and put it back in her cage. All good stuff to learn balance. The grassy field is important as you will learn the proper way to fall as well!
Good luck. |
