Comments: It was obvius that it was going to be one of the hotest days of the year, it was about 80dgs at the start of the race at 7:30am. I can break the race down into 4 segments. 1st segment: 5k avg 9:00min mil as planned. 2nd segment: 5k avg 9:30min mil, the beggining of the overheat. 3rd segment: 5k avg 11:00min mil, total breackdown my legs didn't have anything I was overheathing even when I drank a lot of fluids at every station, and the day before I drank 60oz of fluid with power tabs, I really tough I was ready for the heat but I wasn't. 4th segment: the last 6 k's where amazing, just when I tough I was done I average about 9:00 min mile, I finished very strong. What would you do differently?: maybe I was still not 100% after finishing the SDIT two weeks ago, my longest run was eight miles, hopefully next time I'll have a few more wk's to train. Post race
