Sunny
Total Time = 8h 50m
Overall Rank = 177/528
Age Group = 20-24
Age Group Rank = 4/13
Pre-race routine:

Pack stuff night before.
Up at 4:45 AM.
Banana, watermelon, grapes, rice/chicken.
Drink gatorade/water inroute to race
Setup transitions (Got distracted during this...didn't setup correctly)
Continue drinking and have energy gel pack
Event warmup:

Stretch, jog in place...then had to wait 2 hours until I was allowed to race. Could not warm up in water at all...
Swim
  • 08m 38s
  • 400 yards
  • 02m 10s / 100 yards
Comments:

No warmup. Forgot to start stopwatch. Breathing was good. Thought pace was good. Lost count of laps and amount left to finish. Passed 1 person
What would you do differently?:

Start Stopwatch
Push myself harder (with nerves and adrenaline, I struggled with form...which caused my time to drop from 2:00...to 2:10 / 100.
Had I been able to warmup and not sit for 2 hours...I think the swim would have been better.

Transition 1
  • 02m 50s
What would you do differently?:

Focus when setting up transition. Bike shoes were still latched...brakes not locked in on front tire...running shoes unlaced. While waiting for swim to start I thought of these things but couldn't change it. Cost me about 30+ sec in T1...
Bike
  • 57m 36s
  • 18.6 miles
  • 19.38 mile/hr
Comments:

Time would have been faster, but had to wait 2 hours after official start. Wind then picked up and was a strong player on those first 9 miles.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing.
Transition 2
  • 01m 6s
Comments:

Good
What would you do differently?:

Maybe pre-tie shoes?
Run
  • 24m 15s
  • 3.1 miles
  • 07m 49s  min/mile
Comments:

Right knee felt funny first .75 mile. Eventually settle down and I pushed on.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing
Post race
Warm down:

water, walking, streching

What limited your ability to perform faster:

2 hour delay after initial warmup...no chance to warmup in the pool.

Event comments:

Not real scenic. Akward finishing area, tucked away almost hidden.

If I don't want you to catch me it looks like I am going to need to pick up my training. Just kidding. Good work.
