Subject: Headaches with the run
Every time I try to run, I usually get a headache mid-run and it lasts the rest of the week. I don't get headaches when I swim or bike, and I'm well hydrated. It is making running very hard for me. What is the cause of this? How can I fix it?

OK - not a doctor, but here are some things to consider:

What does your doctor say?  A week seems a little long for most exertion headaches.

Some headaches may be a sign of hyponatremia (from overhydration)- you might try increasing the salt content of the beverages with which you rehydrate during and after exercise.  This is normally seen in longer runs, though.

Posture - do you run all "tensed up"?

Weather too hot - I have had headaches when I ran in heat for which I wasn't acclimated.  Never lasteed a week, though.

Just some thoughts.
