Run
Comments: I went out with the intent to run about a 1:05:00, but after three miles I was feeling pretty good so I changed my game plan. I decided to ease up on mile 4, and then pick the pace back up for 5-7. I wanted to ease off again on mile 8, and then I would see what was left for the last 2 miles. Splits: 1 mile: 5.45 2 mile: 5.48 3 mile: 5.57 4 mile: 6.10 5 mile: 6.05 6 mile: 6.14 7 mile: 6.11 8 mile: 6.21 9 mile: 6.06 10 mile: 5.50 TOTAL time: 1:00:30 chip time What would you do differently?: Not run the Boston Marathon less then 2 weeks before a 10 mile race (if I planned on performing better). Post race
Warm down: Walked towards the spectator section to cheer in my friends/family that was running - Light stretch - one mile walk to the car. What limited your ability to perform faster: Heavy legs/soreness from Boston. Event comments: Great course, great city. Last updated: 2005-05-02 12:00 AM

Woke-up at 0645 and got dressed. Picked up Aaron, Andy, and Dad so that Amy could drop us all off at the start. Arrived at the start at 730, and I had a cup of coffee and a half of a Cliff bar. My legs were still heavy and a bit tight from the Boston Marathon, which was 13 days earlier.
At 0815, I headed to the start line and did a light walk/jog. I lined up at the 6 min/mile pace section.
