Subject: 4 weeks unti tri training questionNext week I will be going on vacation. I posted a few weeks ago about what to do since I will not be able to swim because there are no pools or good water to swim within miles. I received good feedback on to do as much biking and running as I can, abs, and yoga. Well a new problem has risen. We were packing the car last night, (my parents left this morning and I'm flying in Saturday ) and there was so much stuff that my bike would not fit. Now I cannot swim nor bike. Should I just increase my running to 4 maybe 5 times during the week with abs each day, push ups, body squats, lunges, etc? Also, how will this effect me with my training for my sprint triathlon 4 weeks away (550yd swim, 13 mi bike, 3.1 mile run )? I am a newbie and already am anxious and nervous at the same time for my first triathlon. I have been training hard for the past weeks and do not want to lose much. I know I will lose some not swimming or biking for a week but i want to maintain as much as possible. Any information or advice would be very helpful. Thanks. |
