This was my first swim in a race. I was slow compared to the field but faster than the training times. My goggles started leaking on the first lap so I threw them off after the first 50. It was like I forgot how to swim in the first 150-200 yards. It was like I was in shock that I was racing.
What would you do differently?:

Train more, especially to get more efficient. I need efficiency more than speed, so I can give it my all on the bike.

Run Faster. Do more Bike/Run bricks. Train my mind

Congrats! I did this one as well. The water was really cold, but I loved the bike (flat and no wind). Your run looked good as well. Keep up the bricks because they get better.

I won't be at the second race (I'm planning to do the Four States in Texarkana), but I hope to see you at the third one.
