I'm thinking of doing the Sprint.  Who else is in and for what distance?

Just an FYI: tomorrow's the last day to register before the prices increase by 10 bucks.

Wow, that course was tough!!!!!!!!!!!!

Right up hill off the rip with no way to get some momentum.  Man that hurt.  Time still showed some improvement.

That hill killed me also.  Not so much on the bike.  I felt pretty good about my bike but running up that thing was brutal.  I had severe cramping in my groin and calves as soon as I started to run up it.  Killed my run time.

Those hills were definitely tough.  I ended-up switching to the du that morning, so I had to run them twice!

I didn't walk any the first time up, though, and just spent about one minute overall walking up them second time around, so I was pretty pleased.

There was a lady who was just ahead of me the first run.  I didn't see her again after T1.  As I was running toward the finish line, a spectator was shouting to me, "Hurry, hurry!  She's right behind you!"  I sped it up and after crossing, and I looked to see who it was and it was that lady.

I came in 4/6 AG female and 55/64 overall.  This was my first du and it was WAY more difficult than a tri.  My next tri oughta seem like a piece of cake after that!

How'd everyone else do?

I did the Oly for this tri, and the hills were absolutely BRUTAL! I train for the bike on a hills course 3 times a week, and I still had to walk up one of them for this race. I didn't feel too bad, because even the people that were able to stay on the bike, were in such a low gear they weren't passing any of us walkers. I did hit 44 MPH on one of the downhills, which was exhilerating! I used all 10 of my gears, and wished I had many more!

It was my first Oly tri, and my second tri ever. I ended up taking 2nd in my age group (20-24).
