Pre-race routine:

I had my usual breakfast of bagal with peanut butter and a banana at 0530. Our stuff was already packed in the car the night before.

I would have not pushed it so hard the day before on the bike.

praciced comming in at T2 and having a better idea how far I need to come down my row

Run was really slow for me. I have been feeling really fatigued lately and was definitely reflected in the run.
What would you do differently?:

Maybe taken my Gu later in the bike so i could have more energy for the run.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Fatigue and muscle soreness

Event comments:

This is where I did my first race so i always try to do well here. Four years ago I did this in 2hrs and 5min. This year I was 18 min faster and made it in the top 10 of my age group. My goal for next year in to improve in the run and bike.

Girl!  Congrats on a GREAT race!  Bummer about the fatigue.  You are doing a good thing by listening to your body...take some time and the rest of your season should go really well! 

You had a kick swim!  So jealous!!!!  And the bike (even though you didn't hit your goal) was awesome! 

Congrats on breaking the top 10 in your ag!  Take care of the tootsies (try that frozen bottle trick MSUDan mentioned at the Trex race) and enjoy your little break!
