Subject: Road Bike Shoe Size/Fit??
I found a good pair of road bike shoes online to replace my very entry level shoes.  The shoes I own are too large, and about worn out.  I wear a size 8 in street shoes and 8.5 in running shoes.  Would you purchase a 7.5 (41 on Shimano's coversion chart) or drop down to a size 7 (40) in bike shoes?  I know it is ideal to try on prior to purchasing, but the price is too good to pass up.

Any help appreciated...

Shimano cycling shoes have always run consistent for me.  I wear 10.5-11 in athletic and street shoes and 45 in rod or MTB Shimanos.  I would order whatever Shimano's conversion chart says for your street shoe size. In my experience- if you drop down a size or 2 you will find the shoes too small.  Make sure whoever yiou order from has a good return policy in case they don't fit.

BTW- Cycling shoes are notoriously variable in size from company to company, and sometimes from style to style in same company.
