Subject: Advice on Wheelset

Hey all.....looking locally at a used set of silver Mavic Ksyrium SL from 2006.  Claim to have low milage <250.  Skewers, cassette, tires included.  The guy is looking for $300.  Current wheels are stock Bontrager Selects on Trek 1500.  Worth the money?  What kind of performance increase am I looking at?  THX.

Performace increase for triathlons? Probably none, or very little.

Decent price from a great pair of wheels. From an aero point of view, you will see no improvement, but you probably will feel like bike is more "alive" as the Mavic's a very stiff and responsive wheels. I would stay, very much worth the investment over a pair of Bontrager Select.
