Comments: I felt good. My legs were still a little stiff from last week, but I didn't feel like it was slowing me down terribly. I noticed some pain in my left ankle where my shoes press... so I rearranged my laces some to help. It didn't help much. I noticed if I landed in the middle of my arch rather than rolling heel to toe, that helped, so I worked on that. I had to take a bathroom break at mile 2. Doh. I stopped my watch for that. =) And my HR monitor seems to be all goofed up. It started out ok, but around mile 2 is said my HR was 89 bpm. It stayed that way until the very end. So, I had to go based on percieved level of effort rather than my HR. The last two miles, I hooked up with a very nice woman who ran along with me to the end and we chatted. I think she really pulled me along and made me run a bit faster than I would have. What would you do differently?: Make sure I go to the bathroom before the race. Push a little harder. Post race
Warm down: We walked around and visited the expo, chatted with friends, and looked for water. Event comments: I like this race because so many people from the community come out. And the course is beautiful. Last updated: 2005-05-07 12:00 AM

Just a normal running race morning... breakfast and getting ready.
We rode our bikes there, so that was a good 30 minute easy ride to get the blood moving.
