Subject: Seasons and weather
I am new to this site and to this whole foreign, alien concept.  I am working the couch - 5k plan.

I have a question, and not sure the proper place to post it, so I'm doing it here.

Since, my plan is mostly walking/running, if the weather outside is frightful, is it kosher to do your walk/run on a treadmill?

I prefer to be outdoors, but can't always do that.

Jill

Welcome to BT first of all.

Second of all - do your workout where it is most convenient for you.  Some will say that the treadmill is not like working out in the elements and elevation gains and not the same as real conditions when you race, but the treadmill is better than the couch right?

Good luck and welcome once again.

Absolutely, since my goal is not to worry about racing (at this point, just to do the training), I guess I'm giving myself permission to train on the treadmill if the weather is frightful.
