Subject: Butt and Input?

I recently had my bike fitted and though my legs feel better when I begin the run, my glute muscles are sore. I feel it when I am in the aero bars mostly. My butt muscles seem to be extra tired. Is it because I am in the right position now and I need to retrain my muscles or is something out of line after the adjustment? Any input would help. Sorry for using butt and input in the same topic.

If your fit has changed, I'd expect a bit of an adjustment with the muscles. It should go away, though, if that's all it is.

I'd give it a couple rides and see.  If you're still having issues in a couple weeks go back in and talk to him.

My guess it's changed your position enough that you are indeed working muscles in enough of a different manner that you're not used to.

As long as it doesn't continue over the next week or so you are getting exactly what you want out of your tri bike.  When you are in the aero correctly you should be using your hamstring and butt muscles more because of your angle (at least that is what i was told.  I don't pretend to be an expert).

I would bet it is just a getting accustomed to the new position.
