I'd do the Sprint. You have a great base, so no problems there. You aren't going to penalize yourself for cutting back one week prior. IMO, you can taper too little, but you can't taper too much.

I've done 5 HIM's, and my 6th is next month. My PR is 5:34, but I'm old.

I faced the same situation earlier this June.  I raced a sprint and 6 days later a HIM.  Actually the HIM marked my 3rd straight weekend of racing.  I didn't feel at all like sprint race affected my HIM.  In fact I set a 30 minute PR at the HIM (although it was only my 2nd and I learned lots from the first).

I think with your level of training you should have no problem.  Go for the sprint too and have fun!
