Subject: Evansville YMCA Sprint Triathlon
Little info on the August 15th YMCA Sprint Triathlon held out at Bluegrass Grounds in Evansville, IN.  Looks to be a nice event for this year.  My understanding is that the field has been expanded.  The bike course will be reduced by 2-miles this year because of some road construction, but there will still be 17+ miles of rolling hills with nice roads.  The lake is up this year and the swim should be the best they have ever had. 
Would say that if you are looking for a nice sprint race for mid August this one could fit the bill.

The 2-miles are coming off after the first set of larger hills.  The Seven Hills Road section is being taken off. 
Hope that we do get to swim the full course.  I think if you're sighting well and getting close to the markers you just might be staying in at least 3 to 3.5 feet.

I'm signed up and this will be my first time at this event.  I also hope the water level allows for swimming the entire course.  I've heard stories about the swim the previous couple years. 

Seven Hills Road must have taken a beaten last winter and there are about 8 sections of gravel on it now so it has been eliminated from the bike course. The YMCA Triathlon website has the updated the bike course online.  Ditney Hill road is a little less hilly the Seven Hills Road is so the course should be somewhat faster than last year -  not even considering the shorter distance. 

Either way--I'm really looking forward to the race!

does anyone acutally know how deepthe water is a this site this will be my first swim tri and a ittle nervous about it any replys would be helpful tanks
