I've never done a triathlon before, but I'd really like to try this one.  I'm scared to death though.  How will I know where to go, what to do?  Also, what if I take a while to finish, will they close everything down before I get to the finish line?!

This is my 1st year doing Tris (done 2 so far) and I plan on signing up for Lums Pond as soon as I have the $$.  Hopefully I'll get a few more in before.

Does anyone know what the approximate water temp @ Lums Pond will be for the June Try-It Tri?  Will it be warm enough to swim without a wetsuit?

This date works for my schedule. I am thinking about signing up for this one.

Lums is a great tri and/or du and Piranha Sports is top-notch with their management and coordination of events.

I'll be there this year.

I'll be there. This was my first tri ever when I did it last year and it gave me the "itch"

From the piranha sports race info website:

"Expected water temperature around 70 degrees.  Wetsuits allowed and optional if water temperature is 78 degrees or less taken on race morning.  Come prepared with a wetsuit just in case."

Good Luck.

Although the bike is a bit longer than the standard Sprint distance, it's a great "first tri".
