Swim
Comments: swam hard, stayed on the leaders feet for hte first half, and then realized he was too fast, and backed off a bit, only lost about 8 sec to him and i made that up in T1 What would you do differently?: not too much Transition 1
Comments: went well, no idea on time here. Bike
Comments: holy cow. one of my best rides ever, felt hard but controlled the entire time, hard out to the turn around, then upped the pace about 15 watts on the way back and hammered it through the last 3rd or so. ave 249 watts, 26.3 mph What would you do differently?: not too much. still getting used to the new bike/position but liking it so far, power levels are down a bit but i am going faster off this so position seems to be working. Transition 2
Comments: again no time here, but felt fast. Run
Comments: run felt good, first mile in 5:52, no idea on mile 2, mile three i was just cruising as no one was even close. What would you do differently?: be running more. Post race
Warm down: went for a short jog. What limited your ability to perform faster: i think i raced pretty close to my fitness right now, i need a bit more harder run training to sharpen things up there a bit but all in all a very good race. Event comments: no chip timing, smaller race, but i love the course and its where i went to school so i have been back twice now since i graduated. probably the last year racing it though. was very happy to finish a good solid 6 min or so ahead of 2nd:-) Last updated: 2009-08-08 12:00 AM
