I typically do this one because it is practically in my backyard, but because I need the day for a long training day I decided not to this year.  But it is a great sprint...one of my favorites.  The couple that organize it are awesome.  She is my swim coach as well.  And it is a great lake to swim in.  Not that you needed all that info...but just sayin!

Like Amy I have a longer training day planned, but I did it last year and thought it was a lot of fun and very well organized.  The lake is really nice.

Bump.

didn't have a chance to check out the course this past weekend.

Did my last long run before this race today. Will try to get in some easy swims and get the bike's derailler (sp) adjusted correctly so it doesn't become an "automatic transmission".

I did this tri last year and enjoyed it.  Am not doing it this year mainly because of the run - parts of it are on an airport landing area and it is grassy - not good for my unstable knee!  Anyways, it was a well run race and I enjoyed it.  I did wear my wetsuit last year and many others did as well.

Not sure of the actual temp...but every time I have been in the lake...no wetsuit has been needed.

Well, I'm DNF. I couldn't finish the swim. I just couldn't breath, even when I tried to float/swim on my back. I don't know why either!
Was so disappointed, I didn't try to do the bike or run.

No more tri's for me until I can figure this out or get some coaching on the swim.

Oh no...sorry! keep trying.  It will get better.  The swim is the tough part but it will come.  I wish we could have met up, but I didn't know what anyone looked like.

I was pretty dern happy with my race.  Took 4th place in my AG out of 27.  Finished 1:28:56.  I was about 4 min behind the 3rd place finisher.  No podium this time, but it is the closest I have ever gotten.
