Here's another reason to be scared. I wonder how many of these guys I swam over while at the beach...

This was in the Republic of Panama.

From years of SCUBA diving... I learned that fish don't want anything to do with us. They only attack if they are provoked... even then they usually don't attack and simply try to swim away.

Fish in the water don't scare me.

Now, a shark might scare me, if I had some chum around me in the water.

A barracuda might scare me, if I had something shiny on like a watch or ring.

Otherwise, I'm not scare of marine life.

I even let it come up and kiss me! HA!

Sorry!

What is that scary fish you are holding? It looks like an el? Did I spell that right?

Poor little thing, did you drag it out of it's hole and kill it? I bet it did nothing to you.

I'm thinking it was an eel, but the snout was alot smaller than the snouts on eels I've seen/caught in the past. the "thing" died on the shore a short time before I picked it up. I had to move it, since my kids wouldn't get in the beach with it laying around.

Not an eel.  Eels don't have the little pectorals visible in the second pic

Awesome!  I got to swim with 2 belugas while working at SWF.  By far the coolest thing I've ever done!  (no pun intended)
