I will be there!!!! This will be my first one too. I am planning on going out on saturday during setup to kind of get a lay of the land and hopefully set my mind at ease a little bit.

I am soooooo excited!!!!!

We went and watched the one in June.  Seeing 800 meters laaid out is a bit intimidating.  I'm getting more scared the excited at this point.  I'm not sure I'm going to have what it takes to do the run after swimming and biking.

I am hoping that seeing the swim course will not have that effect on me.

Just keep your eyes on the finish and I think that will get you through!

I have a race in Port Huron that day, otherwise I'd come to cheer you guys on.

Fact:  if this is your first tri, you WILL look at that swim course and gulp hard and possibly start to hyperventilate.  It looks like a super long distance!  However, remind yourself that you have done this yardage in training.  You can do this.  You will be fine.

I tend to have the opposite reaction... Look at it and say "that ain't so bad" then about half way through start thinking "wow this is a lot farther that it looked when I started"

I swam a little over 900 meters this morning, 25 minutes.  I should be good to go for the swim.

You don't look familiar but I know the street you're on and I think I've seen the guy behind you, LOL

We need to do a mini group ride sometime!

WOW, did I have fun today!!!!!!!!!!!! JC5066 it was really nice to meet you, great job today. We are now triathletes. I will post some pics later along with a full race report.

Kim,
How was your race today? The bike pic was from the MS150 a few years ago. It was some small town in rural Illinois out by Dekalb.

I would like to thank everyone here for keeping me on track for this race. I know I don't post here a lot and I have not met a lot of you in person but just reading the posts and information on this site helped me stay on track. You guys have definitely motivated me when I didn't want to train.

Thanks!!!!

I was looking forward to meeting some of you! But I looked and looked for the face on the pic, and couldn't find it. I hope to meet some of you soon!
