And the entry fee would be the same as they were in the 80's, right?!?

This reminds of the time my husband and I went out to a 80's retro night at a local nightclub.  After we had been dancing a while, a young guy came up to us and said "You guys are such good 80's dancers!".  Hey, we lived the 80'S the first time around!

This is hilarious!   If carry my boom box on the run, will by time bonus for retro gear cancel out my penalty for earphone use?  I got my first real bike in 1987.  An aluminum frame Cannondale.  I used it on my first HIM two years ago. 

Helmets?  I never owned a helmet in the 80's.

Cool!  By bike qualifies.  It's a mid 80's Giant.  Original rubber too!  Oh, and don't forget, for the tri you have to do it all in your speedo!  Swim, bike and run!

Oh yeah, the mullet was already brought up, but would you get time off your total if you had a permed mullet?  (Guys only!)

I raced a tri this year where several athletes dressed 80's style, headbands, nearly knee socks with the colored bands and old school running shoes. They still rode their modern tri bikes and wore wetsuits. Rumor has it there might be an 80's theme for the 2010 race.

I saw this topic & thought it was about this race.

Of course, the flyer doesn't clarify the rules, just "No wetsuits, No fancy bikes"
