Subject: Foods to avoid before training.
googling this you get mens health blah blah blah power bars etc. None of these opinions i really trust. Im not looking for the most efficient food to eat before i go but the foods/types of foods that i should avoid. Im not eatting pizza or wings or anything like that but I've found eatting alot of protein in the few hours before i go zaps my energy. Any tips?

If you have an hour or so before; you can't go wrong with whole grains.  If you only have a few minutes; A small portion of fruit.

Avoid spicy foods, too much liquids (nothing worse then stomach cramps), Meat....

You know your body.  Avoid anything that sits heavy, gives you gas, heartburn, etc...

Carbs = Fuel for the run

You are right, you don't need those power bars for pre-workouts.  They're great for mid workout boost on long days or an on the go recovery.  There are plenty of "real foods" one can use.

OH, you mean food.. rolled oat with canned tuna (unless you're in a strict diet, then NO)
