Subject: RE: 2 a days runningHere's a bit of inspiration for you. Haile Gebrselassie's commute used to be just a bit longer than yours. "Gebrselassie was born as one of ten children in Asella, Arsi Province, Ethiopia. As a child growing up on a farm he used to run ten kilometres to school every morning, and the same back every evening." I think other people had the right idea. Start with 2 days/week and then work your way up. As for the heat, running in 100 degree heat seems like a bit of a disaster to me. Could you moderate your mileage by running to work, and then walking home? |
