I live in Lake View Terrace and I'll be lucky if I can get in a swim or a bike or a run before Malibu. Should make for an interesting race.

I hope your home isn't in danger of burning. And I hope you're able to get some good training in before the race.

Forestry service is reporting that the STation fire is likely to hit Mt. Wilson in the next few hours.  That could take out the TV and radio transmission.  If you want to see what the air looks like up here, go to http://www.astro.ucla.edu/~obs/towercam.htm

Just drove from OC to Antelope Valley... scary stuff in Acton.

Luckily, the smoke looks like it is higher in the atmosphere now.
May try to get a run tomorrow, but the airfield where they load the phos-check is 2 mile from me.

I hope that I can sleep tonight.
Not that I will complain if they keep me up while saving lives and homes.

Yesterday I hit the Gym for a spin...that was actually very tough.  Then I hit the tready...that was actually good also.  I ran the last mile at a 7mmpace so it was a bit of a breakthrough.

Now if I could only find a way to swim...Bally's is not good for that.  I'm thinking the pool at Glassell may be closed (no answer when I call).

Pools are closed at the Rose Bowl as well.

Of interest to the science types among us: it's also threatening the observatory. It'll be pretty sad if they lose those telescopes--at least one of them has been up there for over 100 years.

Hope all the BTers in the LA area stay safe and well.

Yeah I don't have a gym membership as 99% of the year i can train outside. I don't know about today, but Glassell was closed yesterday.

Does anyone know how air quality is in the Point Mugu/Malibu/Oxnard area? We're supposed to go camping there and I'm wondering if we should cancel, since we have two asthmatics in the family.

Both the Rose Bowl and Glassell are open today. I think I'm going to get a swim in after work. I hope i don't damage my lungs!
