I am currently in need of a bike fit and was looking for a really good place to get fit at. Anyone have any suggestions in the south eastern area?

I got my bike from fraser bicycle but the 2d fit is like 200 bucks. Great shop but I cant really afford that right now.

American Bicycle and fitness said $75.00, but im not sure how reputable that fit is.

I think there 3d fit is $200 isn't it?  Just the regular fit should be cheaper and those guys know what they're doing.

Other than that, there is a new place in Farmington Hills??? I think that does fits but they're around the same price.

I don't know about American Cycle & Fitness.  I've had mixed results with them.  It's up to you but I would call Fraser and see what they can do for you on the cheap.  I would rather work with them to give me a quick fit.

The best luck I had was in Richmond, Michigan.  The owners son is super cool and did a good job with me.  He fitted me just fine. Then I went to Fraser.  I felt terrible with the adjustments made by Fraser (my seat was all freaky high and I was all stretched out and uncomfortable) and went back to what the guy in Richmond did.  I should of just kept it that way and saved the $200+ I paid Fraser.

Although it isn't a FIST fit...it was correct.  Anyway, I think I paid Richmond about $50-60. Call Hamilton Bicycles and Outfitters at 586-727-5140.

I am waiting on a call back from Fraser for a fit and a bike.  They told me $250 for the fit on top of the price of the bike.  Seems a little steep too me, but heck I am new to this.  I might call Richmond as well.

Last year when I started with tris I had a bike fit on my old road bike at Two Wheel Tango in Ann Arbor. Not sure how much I paid, but think it was somewhere between 150 and 200. THat fit was absolutely great and without any corrections went through a complete season including a HIM.
Just over a month ago, I got a P2 at Cadence Cycle in Saline. I absolutely love that shop and I am very happy with the initial fit. Angel, the owner, told me I could come back any time for adjustments, but that willl probably only be around the shifting specs, not the general bike fit. I dont know what he charges for a fit if you did not buy the bike there...

Interesting.  I drove 2 hrs to 2 Wheel Tango after talking to them on the phone and setting up an appointment for a fit, but when I got there they had 2 bikes in the place and neither one was close to fitting.  Trouble is they told me on the phone that they had a nice selection of bikes and had bikes in my price range.  Neither was accurate.  I liked the store and the people, but I talked to the wrong person on the phone.  I have called Cadence twice this summer and showed up at the door of the shop once.  Could not get a call back and absolutely no help when I showed up at the shop with a pocket full of cash.
I hope Fraser comes through for me or else I am gonna start looking for a shop out of state.

I am from the Grand Rapids area but was in metro Detroit this week.  I just stopped by Fraser as I had a little time to kill.  The guy there, not sure of his name, was incredibly nice to me.  We talked for probably 15 minutes and he took me down and showed me their training center which is really cool.  I asked him about a bike fitting as I have never had my tri bike actually fit to me and it sounds like they are very precise about what they do.  I am planning on heading back over there sometime this winter for a fitting.  I have walked into several other tri shops just to look around and see what they have and for the most part have pretty much just been ignored.

I talked with Ron at Fraser and he seems knowledgeable and friendly.  Looking forward to getting a call from the shop and getting a bike.  Fo

I am sorry to hear about your experience at Cadence. I have been very happy there. With that being said, they are running their sales staff on a shoestring. So if you get there at a time where Angel, the owner, is busy with someone else you can stand around a long time waiting. I have found it best to make an appointment and you get Angel's undivided attention. I bought my bike there last year and Angel set me up with a very agressive aero position and I had trouble generating power (and speed) all season long. I am going back for a less agressive refit in the hope that it will make me faster. Once you pay for a fit (or buy a bike there) all subsequent fitting is included.

Yeah I got a price quote from fraser 180 for the 2d and 200 for the 3d, but I tore something in my knee and I now have to go see a doctor so getting a bike now is on the back burner.
