Precipitation
Total Time = 1h 21m 42s
Overall Rank = 1/
Age Group = 30 - 39
Age Group Rank = 1/
Pre-race routine:

woke up and say it was raining so I took my time getting ready and had a bowl of cheerios, (not my usually pre race cereal.
Event warmup:

ran for about 1- 2 miles with a few pick ups
swam a little in the lake
Swim
  • 10m 30s
  • 800 yards
  • 01m 19s / 100 yards
Comments:

could not see due to fog and kept on pulling to the left. Had to readjust a few time. Definitly did not swim straight. Felt like I was not pushing it hard enough.
What would you do differently?:

Work a little more on pick ups and not sit back and get comfortable in short swims.
Transition 1
  • 01m 13s
Comments:

terrible transitions, wetsuit stuck and got a litttle tripped up.
What would you do differently?:

more body glide and work on a smoother transition
Bike
  • 51m 18s
  • 18 miles
  • 21.05 mile/hr
Comments:

Did not feel like I got it going on this ride. It takes me too long to warm up and I have not really been trainiing for sprints.
What would you do differently?:

focus more on a better bike.
Transition 2
  • 00m 50s
Comments:

hade trouble with the shoes and the Yanks which I paid for later. Pulled a thy muscle in the transition and do not know how I did it. Pick did not rack right on the first try and had to redue it after I was sitting. Ran the wrong way out of transition as well. Overall not my best transition
What would you do differently?:

stay focused and clear and do not get frustrated.
Run
  • 17m 54s
  • 3 miles
  • 05m 58s  min/mile
Comments:

because I did not put my shoes on righ I had the tongue of the she digging into the side of my foot which gave me one of the nastiest blisters I ever had. My thy was killing me from pulling it in transition so I felt like I was holding back alot.
What would you do differently?:

?????
Post race
Warm down:

ran the course backwards for 2 miles and met up with a few guys and turned around and ran back with them.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

not being completly prepared and ready for the race. (FOCUSED)

Event comments:

Great race for the area, would love to see an olympic one in the same area and possibly an sprint one in the spring.
