Subject: OC Oly Tri 2009 - the run route???
I'm wondering if anyone who has done this tri in the past has some insight into the run?  Based on the web site, the bike route is easy to map out and practice, but the run is hard to accurately assess.
Any insights would be helpful, since I would like to go run it before the actual event.
What is the route?  Is there much climbing?

If it's the same course as last year, which I'm pretty sure it is, here is the elevation profile from my Garmin.

Thanks!!  That is very helpful.  Couple questions:
1) Why does it appear that the run is 6.8 miles or so?
2) Can you list the route, if you remember it, so I can go run it?  The website is vague.

I have no idea why it looks like its that long. It could be a Garmin thing or maybe the run was long, I'm not sure.

Second, I would look on the website closer to the race as they had a couple of training runs that they held so that people could run the course. I live right there and I'm still not sure I could retrace my footsteps exactly. Sorry.

There is a route posted on here that seems 100% accurate.  The RD is putting on 2 training runs.
Sunday, Sept 13 and Sunday, Sept 20th.  Both at 8 am.
The hill up Vista Del Lago is a tough one, but the rest of the run is great.
If you go out and run on your own, you may need to climb a fence once you thru Pebble Creek Park (the gate was locked 2 weeks ago).
