Pre-race routine:

Spent the night at my aunts house got up about 6:15, showered ate a bagel, banana and chocolate milk. Drove down to the race site and got transition set up.
Event warmup:

Just tried not to float away for about 10 minutes before the start
Swim
  • 22m 28s
  • 1640 yards
  • 01m 22s / 100 yards
Comments:

Another average swim for me. I didn't feel that comfortable in the water but I wasn't overly uncomfortable either. I just need to swim faster. I was a little disappointed with my time but after looking back at the race it looks like everyone was a little slower. I think the current just wasn't as strong as last year.
What would you do differently?:

Not sure. Just need to get faster in this portion of the race.
Transition 1
  • 01m 26s
Comments:

Couldn't get my hemet on and went to the wrong of side of my rack. I wish I would have shaved about 20 seconds off here. I had the 26th fastest T1.
Bike
  • 1h 06m 36s
  • 24.85 miles
  • 22.39 mile/hr
Comments:

Felt pretty good. Started to get some stomach cramps about halfway. Guess I shouldn't have tried something new on race day. Not a big fan of Cytomax. This was my best Olympic bike split ever so I can't complain to much. I didn't get passed at all on the either.
What would you do differently?:

Stick with Accelerade.
Transition 2
  • 00m 55s
Comments:

Felt good about this, but I was one of the slowest in transition. Not sure how to speed it up too much more. Maybe if I didn't wear socks.
Run
  • 40m 28s
  • 6.21 miles
  • 06m 31s  min/mile
Comments:

Good run. Started out running like 6:45 but brought the time down every mile. I had some bad stomach issues for about a 1 and a half miles but they went away and I was able to pass quite a few people. I ended not getting passed at all after the swim. Thats pretty much how it always goes but, that just means I need to swim faster.
What would you do differently?:

Push harder at the beginning.
