Subject: Thank you for the OWS advice!!!I just want to say thank you to everyone who has shared their panic stories and gave advice for overcoming the OWS panic. I did the following this week per your advice: 1. Took the wetsuit to the pool. Felt great!! 2. Went back to the lake last night. Put wetsuit on. Got in shallow water and just took my time getting used to the water. Splashed some water on my face, dunked my head, went a little deeper, did dead man's float coming up for air as needed. Then just started swimming very slowly. Awesome experience! I also made sure to play in the water a bit too! 3. Going into the race venue lake/pond tonight to do #2 again. 4. First Oly ever is tomorrow and I am jacked up and ready to go!! Thank you everyone!! |
