Event comments:

The Tour de Cure from San Antonio to San Marcos was a blast. The only problem is, it seems like it was UPHILL the whole way! Here in Brownsville where I live, there are ZERO hills (unless you ride up an overpass). The hills and heat made the ride pretty challenging.

The day ended up VERY cool as I got to meet Kevin Livingston, and was awarded the "top fundraiser" award. The prize is a new Trek 1500 autographed by Kevin, so that was a nice surprise.

I was able to raise over $6500 to fight Diabetes, and that is the real reason we were all there. In total, there were close to 1000 riders, and over $250,000 raised.

All in all, a great event!
