I will be wearing my orange Clemson hat during the run so if you see me stop by and introduce yourself.

Kevin

Swam the swim this morning....the current was pertty good to the west this morning. Then this aftenoon with the tide shift it was going east big time.
A few of us are meeting for a swim around 10:00-11 tomorrow morning on the beach.

So are we racing with or against the tide? Or slack tide?

Hello

Not sure where we are racing but it appears we will be at low or slack tide!

The wind was up today and so were the wave...interesting swimming to the west getting hit in the face with 1fters.
Hope for smooth seas in the morning and no wind on the bike.

They're on active.com now. It was a fun race today and beautiful too! Congrats to The Cube for a 2nd place finish in his age group!

THanks for the heads up on the results page... i was looking for them. Hopefully, they get those overall results with splits up sometime.

I thought it was a great race. The only issue was a couple cars passed me on the bike and didn't move over at all. There was a whole lane open to drive in, but no they had to get super close to me. But I thought it was a great bike course, once that road construction is done, then it'll be 80% smooth surfaces.

I'll be back next year, but i really need to work on my running!!

I didn't have any cars pass me close, but I ended up having to pass a few cars! The bike is my strongest part, so I usually try and go pretty fast but got stuck behind 4 cars all doing about 18 mph right around mile 13. Another rider and me had to pass them on the left if we wanted to keep speed up. It was probably one of the stupider things I've done during a triathlon (I ended up having to kind of weave my way through them, but at the time it seemed like a better alternative to slowing down).

I thought it was great race though. The run was really pretty and the swim was fast (I saw the top swimmers were finishing the 400 yard swim around 4:30)
