Now I have time to read in more detail.  Sounds like it was a great race.  15 min for 1000 YD is awesome man.
From this point on (end of race season, right?) you might want to work on strength (add some gym days) so that next yr, you can pick up the bike at the level you're in today - exponential growth would be nice, no?

For next yr, you might also consider some racing flats that you can wear w/o socks.  That'll give you about one minute and maybe a place in the podium.  Now, wouldn't that be nice?

Glad to see you're finishing off this way.

PS  I have been researching tri teams and seems that the Sharks (or whatever name they have now) or one in Lakeland might be my best alternatives.  Maybe we'll train together more often in your neck of the woods, I will need a more structured program if I am going to finish my HIM strong next year.
