Comments: ran w/ dan and scott. it was really windy, but they were faster, so i just tucked behind and held on as best i could. i thought i had a shot for a pr after the first 2 miles, but i was dying half way through mile 3. scott pulled away a bit in the final .1 and then dan followed. it ended up that they were 1-2 in the AG and i would have been 3rd for a BT M30-34 sweep, but some guy beat me by 1 second. pathetic. that hurt like hell, but it was fun running w/ those guys. pretty happy considering it's been a long time since i did any speedwork outside of a race. hip felt great running, but ached afterwards. What would you do differently?: push harder the final 10th to take 3rd.  Post race
Warm down: it started to rain, so once everyone finished, we headed for some breakfast. Event comments: good local 5k. nice course and location. pretty crazy that there were exactly 1000 finishers. Last updated: 2009-10-07 12:00 AM

warmed up w/ dan and then hung out w/ dan, ally, k, scott, and neva. it was fun. they announced that the race would start late (9:15am) so dan, scott and i started to go out for another warm up run. just as we started, the gun went off and people started running at 9:00am!
