Walked around, talked to a few guys in my AG and new friends. Waited on wife to finish.
Great snacks, bags of sliced apples, HOT sweet Potatos from Outback!!

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Fading in the humidity on the run and training LONG all summer for Augusta 70.3 showed in my lack of speed on the run.

Event comments:

Great job once again by Jim Rainey and the Georgia Multi-Sports Team. Great first year event and a great venue!! A MUST return for 2010.

Nice race Fred- I'd like to do this race next year. I had read one race report that someone else posted that mentioned the traffic on the bike course and that they thought it was dangerous. How was the traffic in your opinion?

Thankfully I was in the first swim wave and was out in front of most of the bike traffic. At the Bike turn-around I was sittin in 5th position. Traffic was ok on my ride. Most of the cars stayed in the center lane on the causeway. the one lane road back into T2 (kings way/ocean drive?) was a bit tight, but traffic was low when I went thru there. The wife had to get off and run with her bike for about 50yards at one point because of cars backed up at a light being held by the cops. and they were all tight to the right of the lane so no room to ride by.
Maybe next year they could one lane it for an hour to help for just shut that part of the course off to cars for 1-1.5 hrs??
Other then that, I thought it was another great job by Georgia Multi Sports. planning on a 2010 return.
