Comments: AWESOME to do this long distance event after doing sprints for so long. By leaving with the 30+kph group, the packs thinned out VERY quickly after the busway and I was able to spend close to 60km in the aero bars. Rain sucked... I believe average speed would be a bit higher if it wasn't for the rain. GREAT ride. Didn't stop at the first rest stop at 40km - stopped at the second at 75km. What would you do differently?: NOTHING GREAT RIDE!!! If I can pace myself just like I did during this race I should be able to complete the bike section of a Half iron for sure!!! (keeping fingers crossed) Post race
Warm down: Stretching, sleeping - STUFFING MY FACE What limited your ability to perform faster: THE RAIN Event comments: I really enjoyed this year's Brissie to Gold coast. The chaos of the busway to the open bumpy roads of the last rural patches of the gold coast (seeing the Kangaroos and Sugarcane was a BONUS!) Pleased with my efforts and would love to do this ride again next year. Last updated: 2009-10-11 12:00 AM

Woke up at 3:30 am and stumbled into the kitchen to discover we had NO bread...
Ate a spoonful of peanut butter and an apple...
Rode to meet up with our work collegues and then snuck into the 30+ category.
